Maxim Ryazansky
Miscellaneous hodgepodge of photography and life fun facts about me:
I was born in Lithuania (It’s a real country, I swear!) I speak Russian but with a slightly embarrassing American accent. My photography has been published and exhibited in galleries around the world which still kinda boggles my mind…. but it’s totally awesome. In 2020 I published my first book Artist Portraits : Volume One 2015 - 2020, and I also received the NJ State Fellowship of the Arts award, so you know, it was kind of a crappy year but could have been worse. 2018 I received first prize in the Garden State Journalists Memorial Awards for a magazine front cover. There’s been other cool professional achievements but you’re probably not reading this anymore cause who cares about me, it’s about you! Back to me, I eat way too much pizza, or maybe it's not enough. I've been to all 48 continental states and would love to go to Hawaii and Alaska as well, so if you are getting married in one of those you should hire me :-)
Quick FAQ:
Where do you photograph weddings?
Most of the weddings I photograph are in NYC and NJ but I do love to travel so I’ll honestly go pretty much anywhere.
Do you photograph each weddings yourself?
Yes, it's called Max Wedding Photo for a reason and that is because I photograph each and every wedding I am hired for. Some wedding photography studios operate with multiple photographers with varying styles and skill sets under their studio umbrella. Working with these studios can be a gamble because you might not even know if the person you are getting to photograph your wedding is really the one whose photos you've seen or who they even are. I pride myself in photographing every single wedding I am booked for so when you book Max Wedding Photo you get Max not some random fill!
Do I need a second photographer and if so do you offer that service?
It really depends on the wedding. My rule of thumb is if you have less than 100 guests you probably don’t need a second photographer, but you know, there’s exceptions to every rule, and just cause you have more than 100 guests it doesn’t mean you need one either. Tell me more about your wedding and I’ll give you my honest opinion…. and yes I do work with second photographers if needed.
How do you provide our wedding photos?
Within 48 hours you get a sneak peak of 10 images. Within 8 weeks you get a full online gallery with 400 - 800 photos which you can share with your family and friends. You have full print rights for personal use which means print as many photos in whichever sizes you would like. I like to keep it simple: no extra hidden fees, cause those are the worst!
Do you offer engagement shoots?
Yes!
I think it's important for a wedding couple to feel comfortable with their photographer so if you have any questions or would like to schedule a phone call / meeting, feel free to drop me a line.
